Another late night........

Well another day has gone. DD had knee surgery on Thursday, all went well. Really much better that I had thought it would. Not knowing how dd would take to being put under and all. But, she is much stronger than I thought she would be, of course, she would be. I guess this is about all for now.

My father's birthday is Monday, Memorial Day... he will be 85! I will need to get a card made tomorrow for him. Have an idea..........

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is Mother's Day, and I had a great day. Went to Outback for lunch and did we wait, yes, but worth it. Yummmy.... Took my mom out on Saturday and went to Red Lobster, yes, again YUMMY... Yea, we eat....

I made my mom a card, and of course she loved it! Made dh mom the same card only in blue and she had to show it to her daughter, so she loved it too! I will post these. Made a dahlia fold for these cards, it was fun making them.

Well of to work tomorrow and clean up the house after. Marsha and Karen are comming over, my new scrap buddies. We have such a great time together, talking, laughing, and of course scrapin!!!

Friday

Hello...

This week has ended on a sad note. My uncle passed away this morning. He was falling for several months now. He is now in a better place. I will miss you Uncle Tom.

And more sad news. A favorite podcast that I listen too member passed away suddenly on April 28th. Bob Varley from the Dis Unplugged Podcast. We shall miss you Bob. My condolinces to both the families.

Had to go to school today to pick dd up, she is coming down with a cold or spring fever. I know she can't wait till school is out, but what is she going to do all summer. OK, first she is going to have knee surgery, but then what? We shall fight all summer! The summer will not pass fast enough for me. But, a favorable ending to the summer I am going CKC, that is Creating Keepsakes convention, yes lots of classes and general fun! Lots to see and do in August. It's in Charlotte the 14Th-17Th...YAHOO!!

We are taking my mom and dad out tomorrow, you know Mother's Day is Sunday. Italian will be our first choice to pick then, maybe Red Lobster.

Well another week has passed. What will the week ahead bring? Let's hope a lot of joy and happyness and good health.

Happy Birthday Ila!!

Ya'll need to check out this lady! She is really talented. This lady inspired me to try a new technique. Check out my doggy card...I "woof" you! Now, my talents are not as good as her, but I am learning to be creatively me.

I am posting this because she is running a contest for some blog "candy" and I think this will fit in my diet!

Happy May 5th!

Well it's May. I bet you know about the pilgrims...they brought the Mayflower! hahahah... I know not very funny.

The news is dd needs surgery on her knee. She is not too happy about it too. We could have it as early as Thursday of this week, but she wants to wait till school is out. Now, that's May 22nd. Is she really wanting to wait? Or is she just trying to post-pone the inevitable? I know she is scared, I'm scared too! She has a torn cartilage and a torn ligament, the Dr said she needs the cartilage fixed but the ligament is fine. Now, if she played sports more than she is, she would need it fixed too. The only sport she liked was cheer leading, and that fell through on Friday, the day she also got the news on her knee. Needless to say, she was an unhappy girl.

Had lunch today with my two friends that I scrap lifted at Michael's Arts and Crafts, Karen and Marsha. Who knew, that just bumping into someone, you would fine a fast friendship. Really, we met at Michael's. We were making plans to go to CKU in Charlotte in August. Looking at all the classes and what exciting lessons we could learn. Oh, so much to choose.

That's all for now folks. TTFN
