I'm Back!

So, I've mia for a few days! Ok, several weeks. What can I say. Summer and work and well the knee.



Had to take dd back to the dr, and he took out three vials of fluid from her knee. She was not a happy camper about this. She was really having a hard time walking and I knew she was not getting any better, so off we went. She has a dr appointment this Wed for a check on it.



School will be starting her on August 11th! Yippie! Of course dd is not looking forward to this. But, I am! DD will be in 8th grade and into all things computer, facebook and my space.



I am heading out on the 14th of August to Charlotte to Creating Keepsakes convention. They are offering classes on several things, and this will be a great learing time for me. I have several classes lined up. Living in the country, and a far drive to a great scrapbook store I have no outlet for classes. Learning techniques on my own sometimes is harder than just learning the ins and outs from someone that has done it.



Just think, Christmas is only 5 months away. Needed to burst your bubble today.

Hard to believe, May will be here tomorrow! This year is going by fast! Summer is on it's way!

I worked on this card over the weekend. I thought he turned out cute. I used a new stamp that I found at HL on clearance of course, and used a new technique. I used colored pencils and mineral spirits with talons to blend. I really liked this style of coloring my stamps. I would also like to do some water coloring with my stamps next. I am sending this off to a gal that her husband is over seas in the army and I thought it would be a cute card that a guy would enjoy getting.

In other words. Took my daughter for her MRI today. She did not like the clunking noise the machine made and she cried, just a few tears. She said it was scary. She fell at school two weeks ago and then a week ago and re-hurt her knee. So she is on crutches and hurts from walking on it, even though the dr said she could put some weight on it. We will find out what the dr said on Friday. She talked me into staying home after the mri from school. It was such a lovely day here. Well I had better go, off to work....I go....
